Recently, product identification technologies have been made available on mobile phones. While several technologies are still competing and despite a lack of standards for some of them, businesses are now showing an increasing interest.

They indeed foresee in these technologies a new way to establish a privileged communication channel with the customer who can access product information anywhere and anytime using their ubiquitous mobile phone.

The objective of the project is to analyze and propose IT architectures for the identification and traceability of consumer products on mobile phones. Another objective is the elaboration of a working prototype able to compute a environmental label of bottled water.
